Continuing grace: the other day a young singer brought a song to her voice lesson, a song which was new to me. My mind was blown by the aptness of the text, three short stanzas taken from a poem by Rabindranath Tagore. Simply and beautifully these words capture exactly the essence of Kieran's Song and will form a type of invocation and intention for the November 19th event:
This song of mine will wind its music around you,
my child, like the fond arms of love.
The song of mine will touch your forehead
like a kiss of blessing.
And when my voice is silenced in death,
my song will speak in your living heart.
